Abstract:
The article presents an essay on the works of American philosopher Charles S. Pierce. It examines the ideas of Peirce on "Categories of Firstness, Secondness and Thirdness" and "An Outline Classification of the Sciences." It looks at his concepts of architectonic or classification of the sciences. It notes that he came up with his ideas on the classification of the sciences because of his philosophical inquiries. Peirce used the concepts of metaphysics, psychology , physiology and sociology.
