Abstract:
Peirce's ten trichotomies are presented as an elaboration of semeiosis, that is, a sign producing an interpretant. Sabre (2012) details how a sign can produce a metaphor, a hypothesis, or a decision. Here decision about metaphor results in art; decision about hypothesis results in science; and decision about decision, value.
